Official Community Plan for the Northern Village of Air Ronge

Council initiated the process of creating an updated Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw during the previous term in 2021. Due to staffing constraints and shifting organizational priorities, the project was not advanced. Recognizing the importance of maintaining a current and relevant OCP, supported by a Zoning Bylaw that reflects both existing conditions and future development needs, Council has identified this project as a Priority One item within the current Strategic Priorities and has approved the following implementation schedule:

  • June to August 2026 - Review and update/remove outdated content
  • September to Early October 2026 - Council review of draft documents
  • October 2026 - Public review
  • November 2026 - Final revisions and first reading
  • December 2026 to January 2027 - Public hearing, second and third readings, adoption (unless amendments required)

 

Throughout the process of public consultation, further details will be posted in this location.  Once the plan has received final approvals, the document will be accessible by the public.
